located on lake Geneva in the French-language Switzerland. This is where the world meets. Geneva is the European headquarters of the united nation and other international organizations. Lake Geneva is the largest lake in Western Europe and also borders France.

located on lake Zurich. This is also country's most important business and financial center, internationally renowned for its banking sector. Zurich's Bhanhofstrasse is one of the world's most attractive shopping streets.
Zurich, Switzerland,s largest city, situated between high hills at the northerr end of kake Zurich on the Limmat River,is one of the world's greatest financial hubs.it is also extremely attractive, full of Gothic architecture, beautifully maintained historic buildings and steep,narrow lanes. The bahnhofstrasse, Zurich's main thoroughfare and one of Europe's most elegant streets is full of high quality shops and inviting cafes. 
Throughout the city, there is a variety of excellent museums whilst the old tow offers boutiques,galleries ,book shops and antique shops,night-life, of which there is plenty,is largely centred around Niederdorf

You then descend by cable car and stop for a short while in Lucerne on the way back to Zurich.

Basel
the second largest city, is the northern gateway to Switzerland and borders both France and Germany. The city situated on the River Rhine, commercially the most important waterway in Europe. Basel is also acclaimed as "the cultural heart of Switzerland" (nearly 30 museum).


Berne
is Switzerland's captivating capital, seats of the federal government and parliament. The well-preserved old town granted World Cultural Heritage status by UNESCO- is Europe's largest covered shopping area in a medieval setting. 


Lausanne
is located on lake Geneva amid a scenic setting of Alpine peaks and verdant vineyards. The city is rich cultural and historical heritage and hosts many private schools and educational instates. In 1995, the Olympic Museum won the "European museum of the year" award. 


Lucerne
is one of Switzerland's most picturesque cities, and a popular tourist destination. It is located on the lake of same name. Major attraction includes the 14th century Chapel Bridge (the oldest wooden bridge in Europe). 


Lugano
is the largest city in Italian language Canton Ticino. Beautifully situated on lake Lugano, the city is the cultural, commercial and touristic center of Switzerland's southernmost canton. Ticino is often described as "the sun parlor of Switzerland".


Neuchatel
a feature-minded city, situated amidst lakes and vineyards. The castle nearly a thousand-years-old collegiate church, the Papiliorama Nocturama Tropical Gardens, watch making are facettes of its rich cultural life and colorful history. In 2002, Neuchatel will be host of the exhibition "Expo.02".
