 Australia offers a stunning variety of cultures, scenery, wildlife, cities, sports, shopping and entertainment. The oldest of the earth's land masses, isolated for 50 million years, its uniqueness is constantly apparent: in the astounding beauty of the Great Barrier Reef; the curious fauna- platypuses, koalas, Kangaroos, wallabies and wombats; and its mixture of landscapes-from tropical rainforest to snow covered mountains, lush farmland to huge sandy beaches.
Climatically, too, there is enormous variety- from tropical Cairns to temperature Melbourne with the added oddity for the reversal of season, when high summer occurs in January and winter July.
But there is more than mere geography to attract visitors. Cosmopolitan cities offer sophisticated entertainment, there are sports aplenty, luxurious resort complexes provide every comfort an enormous variety of goods, and superb food- accompanied by Australia's excellent wines- are served in establishments ranging from country inns elegant restaurants.
Both the world's smallest continent and largest island Australia is a big- and its better to not being hurried we strongly recommended that you allow a minimums of two weeks for your visit. But no matter whether your ideal holiday is lazing on the palm- fingered beaches of the Coral Sea, dining and dancing in a fashionable night club, watching Ayers Rock glow orange in the sun set or exploring lush
rainforest.
Australia is big! It takes just about as long to fly from Perth to Cairns as it does from Dubai to Hong Kong. From Darwin to Melbourne is over 3,500 kilometers and 45-hours drive.
