Although taking just six days, this fascinating tour enables you to see the island's most interesting sights and most spectacular scenery as well as enjoying a couple of days relaxing at a beach resort.
Day 1: Arrive at Colombo's Bandaranayake International Airport and transfer to Mahaweli Reach Hotel in Kandy. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2: The morning is spent at leisure. In the afternoon enjoy a city tour which includes a visit to the Perandeniya Botanical Gardens, the Temple of the Tooth, a gem lapidary, batik factory and the Kandyan Arts and Crafts Centre. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: In the morning depart for Nuwara Eliya, en route visiting a tea plantation and tea factory. Overnight at the Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Days 4-5 : After breakfast depart for your chosen beach hotel via Ratnapura- the city of gems. Spend the rest of the two days relaxing in and around your beach resort- perhaps trying your hand at the extensive range of water sports available.
Day 6 : Transfer to Bandaranayake International Airport for your return flight.

Colombo/Dambulla/Polonnaruwa/Sigiriya/

This tour includes the ancient capital of Sri Lanka at Polonnaruwa; Anuradhapura - the 5th century BC capital of Sri Lanka; the extra ordinary fortress of Sigiriya; the Dambulla Rock cave temples, kandy and the famed tea plantations of Nuwara Eliya.
Day 1: Arrive at Colombo's Bandaranayake International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Dambulla.
Day 2: Spend the morning at leisure and in the afternoon, travel to Polonnaruwa, the 12th century capital of Sri Lanka and visit the Gal Vihara complex of preserved temple ruins, where four colossal statues of Buddha include a 14-metre reclining image. Overnight at your hotel in Dambulla.
Day 3 : In the morning depart for Anuradhapura, the 5th century BC capital of Sri Lanka, en route visiting Sigiriya Rock fortress and its outstanding 1,500-year old frescoes. You also visit the majestic stupas at Ruwanweliseya, Thuparamaya Dagaba and Abayagiri Dagaba; the Brazen Palace, originally a monk's residence; Kuttam Pokuna, the twin ponds; the Samadhi, a statue of Budha in meditation ; and the Sri Mahabodhi Tree- the oldest documented tree in the world- grown from a sapling of the tree under which Buddha attained enlightment. Overnight at Dambulla.
Day 4 : Leave for Kandy, en route visiting the 2,000-year old Dambulla Rock cave temples and spice gardens. In the afternoon a city tour of Kandy includes Peradeniya Botancial Gardens, the Temple of the Tooth, a gem lapidary, batik factory and the Kandyan Arts and Crafts Centre. Overnight at Mahaweli Reach Hotel in Kandy.
Day 5 : After breakfast continoue to Nuwara Eliya, a visiting a tea plantation and tea factory en route. Overnight at the Grand Hotel in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 6 : After breakfast leave for Colombo. Overnight at your hotel in Colombo.
Day 7 : Transfer to Bandaranayake International Airport for your return flight.
