Lahore / Islamabad / Taxila / Peshawar
Day I : Arrive at Lahore International Airport , Pakistan s cultural capital and transfer to your hotel . In the morning you watch the Border Flag ceromony at Wagah B order and in the afternoon , a historical sightseeing tour takes you to the Lahore Fort , Badshahi Mosque , Shalimar Gardens, Anarkali Bazaar and a museum . Return and overnight at your hotel in Lahore .
Day 2 : Transfer to the airport for your flight to Islamabad and check -in to your hotel on arrival . In the afternoon , visit the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad ,Pakistan s modren capital .Overnight in Islamabad .
Day 3 : In the morning visit Taxila, once the center of the oriental culture and today, an archaeologist s haven . There is a well -maintained museum and many other historical sight withing a short radius . Amongst the best -preserved are Sirkao, Jaulin (the university) and Mohra Moradu . In the evening , fly to Peshawar from Taxila . Overnight in Peshawar .
Day 4 : In the morning you visit the historica Khyber Pass (subject to government permission , prior to arrival ) . In the afternoon there is a tour to the Peshawar Museum , Qissa Kawani Bazaar and the Mahabat Khan Mosque . Overnight in Peshawar .
Day 5 : Spend the day at leisure, perhaps visiting the carpet bazaar or the coppersmith s bazaar .
Day 6 : Transfer to the airport for your return flight .

Islamabad / Swat / Chilas / Gilgit / Karimabad / Hunza / Gilgit / Besham / Islamabad
Day 1 : Arrive at Islamabad International Airport and transfer to your hotel . In the afternoon visit the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad . Overnight at your hotel in Islamabad .
Day 2 : Transfer to the airport for your flight to Swat , a city nestled amongst lush , green valleys , rich orchards and flowing rivers . It is a Buddhist cultural center where some of the finest shrines from the the second century still remain . In the afternoon visit the Swat Museum , bazaar and the Butkara sites which are all Buddhist sites . Overnight at the Swat Serena Hotel .
Day 3 : Drive from Swat to Chilas via the Shangla Pass on the Karakorum Highway.The journey covers 300 kilometres and takes approximately nine hours . Overnight at the Shangrila Midway House in Chilas .
Day 4 : Drive to Gilgit , the hub of the Karakorum Highway which acted as resting stop in the old days for travellers on the silk route- the famous road from China to the Arabiab Sea . After a city tour of Gilgit , depart by road for Karimabad, the furthest point north nearest to the Chinese border . Overnight at the Darbar Hotel in Karimabad .
Day 5 : In the morning you tour the 400-years old baltit Fort that has stood the ravages of time and is now the main museum housing armour from warriors that guarded the area .
Visit the impressive Altit Fort ,about 100 years older than the Baltit fort , perched atop a rock cliff that falls 300 metres down to the Hunza River . Return to Gilgit and overnight at the Serena Hotel .
Day 6 : Depart by road for Besham and then drive to Swat Airport for your return flight to Islamabad . Check-in to your hotel in Islamabad before visiting the Taxila Museum and the archaeological sites of Jaulian, Sirkap and Dharmarajika . overnight in Islamabad .
Day 7 : In the morning , transfer to the airport for your return flight .
